This initiative aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of our company’s business operations, customer service, and philosophy before taking the helm in the cockpit. Our Pilot Apprentice program has consistently offered exceptional career growth for new pilots entering the world of commercial aviation. We are proud to say that several of our initial Pilot Apprentices have already advanced to Captain positions. As a Jet2.com Pilot Apprentice, you’ll receive guidance and support to help prepare you for your type rating and beyond.
You’ll have the chance to spend time at both our commercial and operational headquarters in Leeds to witness how we deliver an award-winning customer experience. During the program, we’ll schedule simulator, in-person, and virtual training sessions to enhance your skills and comprehension of our operations. You’ll also have the opportunity to work as Cabin Crew to understand how we deliver our VIP customer service. Furthermore, you’ll spend time in the crew room at one of our bases supporting the management team in all aspects of the operation. The whole experience will give you a comprehensive understanding of our successful Airline and holiday business.
To apply for this position, successful candidates must meet the following requirements:
- UK Issued Frozen ATPL Pilots Licence
- Current Class One Medical (minimum of 6 months validity when joining)
- Completed Multi Engine Instrument Rating (MEIR)
- APS MCC Course (or individual MCC & JOC courses)
- Advanced UPRT completion certificate
- Strong ATPL Theory exam results
- Valid UK driving licence
In addition, you should maintain your flying currency through training and/or regular flying (allowing for disruption due to the pandemic). You should have excellent verbal and written communication skills and experience using office IT systems. You must also be flexible as we may require you to work from any of our 10 UK Bases.
